Ms. Brandy Powell
My name is Brandy Powell and I am excited to serve Chocowinity Middle School as Assistant Principal intern for the 2025-2026 school year! I was born and raised in Beaufort County and I recently moved back to Washington with my daughter Anna. I graduated from East Carolina University in 2011 and began my teaching career as a 2nd grade teacher at Chocowinity Primary School. I spent 10 tears at CPS before serving Unity Christian Academy as Lower School Principal. I returned to Beaufort County Schools in 2023 as an 8th Grade ELA teacher and Media Coordinator. I have been given an incredible opportunity to return to Pirate Nation in the ECU Pirate Leadership Academy. I am looking forward to using my experience to best serve the students, staff, and parents of Chocowinity Middle School. I am truly blessed to work alongside some of the most skilled and passionate educators as I continue my journey in administration.
